Scooter Day

 Here are some pictures of our Scooter Safari Day Adventures.

We spent the day exploring and learning about the Scooter Safari. We used paper, crayons and construction equipment to make our own versions of the journey over the mountains.

Shoe Day.

Whaea Tiff here. I was lucky enough to teach in Rūma Whio yesterday. We read one of my favourite books - Oh Hogwash, Sweet Pea! (By Ngāreta Gabel, illustrated by Ali Teo and Atrid Jensen). This book was first written in te reo Māori - title Tekiteora, Kei Hea ō Hū?, and then translated and adapted by Hannah Rainforth. After we read the book, we went outside for some shoe maths - working together to put our shoes in size order, and then seeing how far we could throw them! Next, we made our own book! We dreamed up some of the funny things that might happen to our shoes. Here are are results, we feel very proud of our new class book.
